I’m a month late seeing this, but after recently rediscovering the fun of reading and commenting on friends’ blogs (obvious, I know, but how quickly we forget…), I came across this slidedeck via Igor.
I agree with his assessment. Long lists about what the future entails are often just extensions of current trends and seldom more disruptive than that. However, having them nicely condensed into a snappy presentation is entertaining to click through. Most of the predictions are pretty solid and bound to happen given their trajectories, but there are also a few surprises.
Some spoilers: #17 CAPTCHA advertising, #47 Long-form content, #54 The Nail Polish Economy(‽), #94 Tube-free toilet paper (who knew), and basically lots of lend-trends from Brazil. Happy browsing!
