Continuing the webmaking fun, over the last few days I’ve:
* Learned how to use @font-face and [icon fonts](http://fontello.com/) that are easily styled in CSS
* Explored sites built with [Twitter Bootstap](http://builtwithbootstrap.com/).
* Read about the coming [“Retina Web”](http://coding.smashingmagazine.com/2012/08/20/towards-retina-web/).
* Got inspired by [animated SVG charts](http://www.onlywebpro.com/2012/05/11/a-complete-guide-to-create-an-animated-svg-chart/).
* Discovered you can [add view-source in front of a URL](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/View-source) to see the source code.
The Javascript expeditions are also fun. Including:
* Made a [“Dragon Slayer”](http://www.codecademy.com/courses/javascript-beginner-en-mrTNH-6VIZ9/0/1?curriculum_id=506324b3a7dffd00020bf661) game using while-loops.
* Learned you can execute Javascript from the URL bar (in some browsers) or use [this bookmarklet hack](https://tbx.makes.org/thimble/your-first-hack) for similar effect.
* Stumbled upon [browser detection scripts](http://www.quirksmode.org/js/detect.html) that show you what browser, operating system, etc. your visitors are running.
Thanks again to Codrops, I got to try my first “on scroll” effect layout. Still could use some polish, but happy at the attempt. See [full screen](http://jsbin.com/eKeYUS/3).
